How to Manually Add and Configure Outlook IMAP settings?

The majority of web hosting services provide a certain number of email accounts or boxes. Even if you don't have a website yet, having an email-only account with the host firm allows you to obtain a domain name and use it for your email. Free email accounts like google lack the professionalism that domain-based email addresses give for you and your workers. You'll need to add your email addresses to an email application like Microsoft Outlook to check and manage your email once you've picked your email addresses and set them up with your domain's hosting firm. To add an account to Outlook and configure Outlook IMAP settings, follow the instructions below.

How to Add Email to Your Outlook

  • Select Tools from the E-mail Accounts menu in Microsoft Outlook.

  • Select Add a new e-mail account from the E-mail Accounts wizard box, then click Next.

  • Select POP3 or IMAP as your server type, and then click Next.

Fill in the following information in the Outlook IMAP settings (POP3/IMAP) window:

Your Full Name

Your given and given names.

Address e-mail

Your email address is required.

Username

Here's your email address once more.

Password

Your password for your email account.

Incoming mail server (POP3): Pop.secureserver.net or IMAP: imap.secureserver.net

Smtpout.secureserver.net is the outgoing mail server (SMTP).

After you have added your email to outlook next comes the part where you configure it. To know more about it scroll down a little…

How to Configure Outlook IMAP settings

  • Microsoft Outlook 2010 is now open. Then, under File, select Add Account.

  • Select Manually setup Outlook IMAP settings or other server types at the bottom of the page, then click Next.

  • Click Next after selecting Internet E-mail.

  • Input your full name and e-mail address.

  • Select IMAP as your Account Type if you have IMAP. If you're unsure, choose POP3. Depending on the sort of email you have, use these Outlook IMAP settings for your incoming and outgoing servers:

  1. Incoming mail server (POP3) pop.secureserver.net

  2. Server for sending and receiving emails (SMTP) smtpout.secureserver.net

  3. Incoming mail server (server): imap.secureserver.net

  4. SMTP (Outgoing Mail Transfer Protocol) server smtpout.secureserver.net

  • Select Remember password after entering your User Name (complete email address) and Password.

  • Click on "More Options."

  • Go to the Outgoing Server tab and choose it. Use the same parameters as my incoming mail server and choose My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. The Advanced tab should be selected.

  • Type 80 in the Outgoing Server (SMTP) field. Then press OK.

  • Click the Next button.

  • Outlook 2010 will run a test on your preferences. When you're finished, click Close.

  • Click the Finish button.

To avoid duplicate email using Outlook IMAP settings

Outlook 2007 has the following features:

  • Select Options and then Preferences from the Tools menu.

  • Uncheck Save Copies of Messages in Sent Items folder in Email Options.

Outlook 2010 has the following features:

From the Account Settings menu, choose your email account and click Change Choose More Settings, then click Sent Things and select Do not keep duplicates of sent items.

Adding and configuring Outlook IMAP settings should become something you can do with your left hand. All the above-given steps will be the same for all the emails you want to add.
