How can I Setup Roadrunner Email On Mac OS X Mail?

Steps to Install Roadrunner Email


The process is not difficult. Keep proceeding with the steps as mentioned below to install Roadrunner email.
  • Go to the Mail app from your machine’s home page.
  • Click Preferences and then click Accounts.
  • For configuring the Roadrunner account, tap on the + icon that you can see on the screen. If you notice Roadrunner on the screen, tap on it. If not, tap on Others.
  • Input the name of the email service provider in the first column.
  • Input the entire password and email address of your RR or TWC email account in the next window.
  • Click Continue. Then select the type of account you need to configure. You can select either POP3 or IMAP.
  • Input server settings manually.

POP Roadrunner Email Settings

Do you want to configure the POP type of account? Here are the guidelines for it.
  • Ensure that the account type is selected to POP3.
  • Incoming mail server – TWC.mail.com
  • Address of the outgoing mail server – Mail.RR.com
  • Port numbers for the incoming server are 995, and that for the outgoing server is 587.
  • When required to input server names, input them correctly with the assistance of the TWC.com link.
  • The password is the same as the login password for outbound and inbound servers.
  • SMTP Authentication – Tap yes to choose the authentication method.


IMAP Roadrunner Email Settings

As mentioned before, IMAP is another account type. To configure it, follow these steps.
  • Ensure that the account type is selected to IMAP.
  • The incoming mail server address is the same as of POP3 account type.
  • Port numbers for the incoming server are 993 and for the outgoing server is 587.
  • The username for both outbound and inbound servers is your account’s email address and password for the same.
  • Click Yes for confirming authentication in SMTP.
  • Next, click Take me to the account and click to create an account.
  • Click the envelope icon on the screen top.
  • If you wish to change any settings sometime in the future, you can go to the Preferences menu.
  • After entering your mail address for authentication, go to the POP server or IMAP server menu. It is also possible for you to store data over the cloud. In the case of the SMTP server, click Edit and modify the preferences.
  • Modify the settings from the next page. You only need to double-tap the option of any settings that you wish to change.
  • If you desire to enable or disable the SMTP authentication, click the Advanced option and go to settings.
  • Tap Done to finish the setup.
