  1. First of all, open the Settings App on your iPhone.

  2. Now select “Mail, Contacts, and Calendars” or “Password & Accounts” and then click on Accounts.

  3. Select Add Account and then click on AOL.

  4. Next, you need to enter the Name that you want to show up in the From field when you are sending emails.

  5. Enter your AIM email address and then password in the given fields.

  6. Enter the description of your AIM mail under the Description field.

  7. Click on the Next button. 

  8. Make sure the Mail option is enabled under IMAP.

  9. Hit the Save button to finish the AIM Mail setup on iPhone.


How To Setup AIM Mail Settings On iPhone Manually?

In case you are not able to set up your AIM Mail using the automatic setup, then you can configure your AIM mail settings manually by following the steps below.


  1. Open the Settings application on your iPhone and select Mail, Contacts, and Calendars. If you don’t see the Mail, Contacts, and Calendars option, click on Passwords & Accounts.

  2. Click on Add Account and then select Other.

  3. Under the Name section, you need to enter the name or text you want to show up in the From section.

  4. Next, enter your AIM email address in the address field and the password in the Password field.

  5. Enter AIM or any other description that you prefer in the Description section.

  6. In the Incoming Mail Server drop-down menu, select IMAP.

  7. Enter imap.aim.com in the Hostname, your name in the Username, and the account password in the Password field.

  8. In the Outgoing Mail Server settings, enter smtp.aim.com in the Hostname, your name in the Username, and then the Password in the given field.

  9. Hit the Save button.

  10. Now, select your email address as shown on your screen and go to the Outgoing Mail Server tab.

  11. Choose SMTP and enter smtp.aim.com in the Mail server.

  12. Make sure the SSL is set at None and the ServerPort at 25.

  13. Click on Done and go back to the previous Window.

  14. Go to the Advanced tab and make sure the SSL is set as None and ServerPort at imap.aim.com

  15. Go back and restart your iPhone.

 

Check whether the AIM Mail is added to your iPhone or not. Try sending an email or verify if you are receiving emails. After configuring the AIM mail settings manually on your iPhone, you should be able to use your AIM Mail on your iPhone without any issues.
